Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We only collect as little information as needed for the service, and we never deliberately collect more data than needed. We collect information you provide directly to us when you use Atomato:

  • Contact details you submit (name, email address, thumbnail of your profile picture)
  • Waiting-list and consultation details (smart-home interests, whether you requested a consultation)
  • Installation and support information needed to provide the service (for example a machine identifier for a home you have asked us to connect)
  • Device and usage information needed to operate the website (browser type, pages viewed)

Your smart home itself is designed to run locally. Device states, automations, and household activity stay on hardware in your home unless you or we explicitly send something for support, backup, or remote access that you have enabled.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain the website, waiting list, and Atomato services
  • Reach out about consultations, installations, and support
  • Create and manage customer accounts
  • Improve and operate the service
  • Respond to inquiries and provide customer support
  • Measure website traffic in aggregate
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • With service providers who help us operate the website and services (for example hosting, email delivery, and the spreadsheet we use to store waiting-list signups)
  • When required by law or to protect our rights
  • In connection with a business transfer or acquisition
  • With your explicit consent

4. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide Atomato services and fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy.

Waiting-list data may be retained so we can contact you. You can also request deletion of that data by contacting us.

You can delete your Atomato account at any time from the profile view on the my.atomato.app webpage.

6. Children's Privacy

Atomato is a smart home service intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access your personal information
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your personal information
